Hi Mr Raymer,
finally i bought lovers and strangers. I've been thinking of writing project paper on this book/ one of the short story. Still i need my supervisor's approval. I love "The Station Hotel" but "On Fridays" for me was an abrupt ending.

Hi Nadya Che,
Thank you. I'm flattered and I hope your supervisor agrees. Check with the story behind the story link for both stories to give you more insight. http://thestorybehindthestoryoflsr.blogspot.com

The "On Fridays" story is about obsession and the ending shows that -- he's obsessed with this girl; she dominates his paintings. It's not about loneliness, or him trying to find some lost love; it's gone beyond that.

This story has been been taught in several universities and it's often mentioned as one of the
best stories; one readers can easily relate, too.

"The Station Hotel" went through a massive rewrite, nearly doubling the length of the story from the originally published story when I revisited it. It's always been a favorite of mine because my staying at that hotel inspired a great setting and all I had to do was come up with a suitable story!

If you have any more questions about the story, either one, after you've gone to the blog, let me know!

All the best.

Nadya Che,
Now that Lovers and Strangers Revisited won the Popular Reader's Choice Awards 2009, should bolster your case to do my stories!

Hi Mr Raymer,
its not too late to wish you congratulations! I've been very busy. My supervisor accepted my proposal. I shall email you soon about couples of things I need to ask from you. Again, congratulations!

Nadya Che,
It's never too late for that! Glad to hear he accepted it. The fact that the book won an award no doubt helped! Just let me know what you need to know.
